This project was created during a continuing education class at the School of Visual Arts. Bold, vibrant and indie are the themes that helped drive the direction for the Voices Rising Film Festival wordmark.
Voices Rising Film Festival is a yearly event in East Islip, NY that uplifts filmmakers and helps share their distinct perspectives. The festival celebrates diversity and showcases unique projects from established and emerging artists. Films feature themes of “love, loss, family, community and resilience.” The founder Jaret Martino is “passionate about creating safe spaces that celebrate and amplify voices that are too often silenced.”
